Edit dvd for you tube?

hi, i have made a slideshow for my website using windows movie maker but for the life of me i cannot get one live song from a live dvd to place on youtube nothing seems to work on windows or roxio

any ideas

I’m not sure I know what you are asking for. Do you want to take a small clip out of a dvd and upload to Youtube?

If so, you can take a section out of the dvd with DVDShrink in ReAuthor mode using the Start / End Frames tool. The resulting output will be a small dvd video.

It depends on the size of the video whether this would be acceptable to upload. It is possible to convert to mp4 and make the resolution and total size of the video smaller.

thanks that is just what i want to do a single song froma live concert
i will try it
is the program free?

DVDShrink is free and is available from www.mrbass.org

This process is not the usual function with Shrink, but you can look through the guides at mrbass’s site and see how to access the Start/End Frame tool.

If it is too large to upload, you might have to convert to mpeg4. There are many tools for this. As an example look at WinFF. http://www.videohelp.com/tools/WinFF You can find many other tools for video there at videohelp.com and many, many guides.

If you decide to convert, this little list of acceptable formats and resolutions for Youtube might help in that process: http://www.mediacollege.com/video/internet/youtube/formats.html
