This is the first time i really had a problem with media on my drive (have used 4 different brands, from 4x to 8x to 12x +/-), DX162D-A, and im wondering if i got scammed. I bought the dvds from:
from seller "dvdmedias4less". They were supposed to be 8X DVD-R's, but the only time ive ever got one to burn is writing a data-dvd with cd-dvd speed for testing, and that never topped 2x. Their code is TYG02 (which im betting is fake) and the serials on the hub are: IFPI GX26. I did some searching and i guess they are really "Digital Matrix" or something. In any event, they seem to suck. My question is: Are these numbers really bad? (Test attached). I paid $25 bucks for 100 dvds, which i should have known was too good to be true. Oh, and also, there is a circular ring about 2 mm from the beginning of the dye, very thin, would that be a defect of just this spool? They are on every dvd though. Thanks a lot for any help in advance.
I have included one test from the ebay dvd-r's and one fuji-film test.
