Easycdcreator, changing from mp3 to standard format

my soninlaw got my daughter a laptop (dell), not a new one. i bought her a plextor usb drive (cdr/rw). it has easycdcreator with it. she wants to burn some stuff so she can play them in her car and not have to worry about the original disks. she has every thing on her hd in mp3 format. she can’t get them to play on anything else. where’s the switch to convert (i use nero). to standard format?

NEro;

go to file
go to new
choose cd, audio cd

push new (right side)
add the mp3 from right to left

go to file again, chose burn cd

done

I don’t have Easy CD Creator either, but I don’t believe there is any switch nor a need for one. When creating a new project, select “Audio CD” rather than “MP3 album” or “Data CD-ROM”. This will create a CD-DA disc by default, and I believe the mp3 files will be automatically converted to CD-DA format when you add them to the project.

You can also use third-party applications to convert mp3 files to wav files and then burn your CD-DA from the wav files, if you like. One program that does this and is easy to use is CDex:

damn…now i understand

you use NEro…that is why you don’t know how to make wav’s from mp3’s

hmm…sorry…i mis-understood

did you look in the project selector??

yes i have used nero a long time, it’s easy

a long time ago i used easycd

i gave directions over the phone…i think those were the same as above.
i’m going over there tonight and hope to see what she’s doing…then show her how we understand it should be done. i thought it would be easier for a beginner. maybe not.

i’ll let you know what how and wherefor i learn. i’m curious as to how you could make a music cd and not have it play on other late model players. even my old apex dvd in the living room will play mp3s:confused: even w/o convering to standard format.
