Hello, I just got a new Sony Vaio with Windows XP Media Center Edition. It has a LG GCE 8523BS CD-RW writer as well as a Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-106D burner. I installed EAC on it and it worked fine. Now all of a sudden, a few days later, it won’t read any audio cds on either burner. They both play fine and Nero can read both without a problem. My ASPI drivers are up to date. I tried uninstalling and installing it again, but no luck. Can anyone help me out? Thanks…
what aspi version are u using? 4.60? if not, try switching to 4.60.
I’m using 4.71.2
EAC -> EAC Options -> Interface -> Native Win32 interface for WinNT/2000/XP
of EAC doesn’t work afther all, i mean afther the suggestions above, you could try CDex…which is good for audio also
Changed the interface to “Installed External ASPI” and it works! Thanks for everyone’s help…
Hello. I am experiencing the same problem as micnite. Neither EAC nor CDex will read any CDs I put in my drives - even mixes I’ve burned. I have ripped a few CDs before using EAC, but now it will not work. I tried changing the interface settings, but no luck.
A search of MY Copmputer reveals a “WINASPI32.DLL” and an “ASPI32.DLL”
Does XP home come with ASPI, and if not, where can I download an update?
