I submitted this question to Dymo, but, then, the agent just stopped responding. I want to try here.
I'm having problems with printing my discs. If I use a canvas already loaded into Discus, it always prints fine, so far I've tried 3 different times. I created a label with a photo, text boxes, some symbols loaded into Discus such as DVD and CD and DVD HD, and it printed fine. I've tried two different designs with a large photo and some text and it almost always comes out real "wavy" looking. I tried printing using Acoustica Lable maker and 2 of my prints came out fine and 1 came out slightly wavy looking. I've tried running a cleaning cycle, I've tried Best quality and Normal quality and most of the discs I'm printing are matte finish. I tried 1 watershed glossy and it did not fill the disc, but, that may be that I had the wrong measurements in there. I've tried using this printer on my Mac and the results are about the same using the Discus software. Acoustica on the PC works a little better. Seems like Discus didn't like my design so I changed it and it still printed odd. Again, everytime I have tried to print a pre-loaded canvas it worked fine.
I bought this used so I may be out of luck on warranty. Last comm I have had with Dymo says it needs to be calibrated, but, I cannot understand why it prints the Dymo loaded canvas just fine.
Any ideas? Anyone with a Discpainter ever seen anything like this? Could it be the print cartridge? When I run a test print, the blocks are not completely solid, they are streaked.
