I finally was able to use DVRFlash to update my HP DVR-K15 to 8.17 and here are some results.
CMC MAG M01 8x burn; bitset to -ROM
Maybe it’s just a coincidence, but it looks like the media doesn’t like being burned at 4x or 8x, but 2.4x and 6x seems ok.
