[qanda]This thread is about the Pioneer DVR-215D. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]Hello I am using Nero Buring Rom V6.6 to burn an ISO data dvd using Verbatim DVD-R MCC 03RG20 on a Pioneer DVR-215DBK. It’s a new drive I got from New Egg and just started burning a bunch of DVDs this past weekend and twice now I got an error “Burn process failed at 12x”. It had firmware version 1.13 and I upgraded it to 1.18 but before I try again I wanted to know if anyone has any ideas as to why this might occur and if there are any clues from this log file extract below? Are there any settings I should change in Nero? I had burned at 12x instead of 8x for example from reading that modern burners work better now at higher speeds. Should I try 8x instead?

Of the same discs in the batch that have been successful that I used Nero CD-DVD Speed 4.7.7.16 to do Disc Quality tests using either the Samsung or Lite-On drive listed in the log above which all came out at 95%.

Thanks for any help!

Do you have an idea what thread this is about and what a forum is about?

Spamming is not a useful form of discussing things.

Your post is totally unrelated to the problem of the OP, BTW.

Hey…

I am not spamming … it has worked for me so i posted here to help other people…

So you tell me what this thread is abt if you know more …

@ kautuk,

If you had bothered to view Forum Member’s Cyberdave initial #1 posting in this thread Nero-Burning Rom History File ‘Drivers’ you would have noted that Forum Member Cyberdave does not have any Virtual Drive Software Program(s) installed.

So your #3 posting in this particular instance is totally off the mark as valid pertinent information.

Perhaps the next time you attempt to High Jack Spam a Forum thread that you will educate yourself in how to correctly analyze the data posted in the Forum thread.

Also you need to check your KeyBoard – it appears your KeyBoard ‘Bold Key’ is malfunctioning
