[qanda]This thread is about the Pioneer DVR-212D / DVR-2810. Click here to see full specs[/qanda]I have a Pioneer DVR-212D. I used to be able to use Nero Drive Speed and ripping tool to control CD ripping speed (to help read disks with errors) but it seems I can no longer cause it to rip at slower than maximum (40x). If I try setting it to a slower speed, it still rips at maximum. dbPowerAmp also tells me that I have no other speed option other than 40x / maximum.
I have tried updating the firmware to the latest from Pioneer (1.28), but to no avail. What's worse is as a result of the the firmware update, it appears that the spin-down time of the drive has now been set to "never" and I don't know how to reset that.
Any help with either of these problems would be greatly appreciated.
