Last night when I booted up my computer, I got stopped in the BIOS with a message that IDE2 slave SMART status indicates drive failure is imminent. This is my Pioneer drive. I noticed that in the BIOS where it detects the drives, instead of listing the Pioneer there are a bunch of crosses, and the drive doesn't show up in Windows at all.
I have tried it on a different IDE channel (where another drive works fine) and it's the same thing.
So is the drive dead?
