Dvr-112 speed problem

vbimport

#1

Hi guys I have a dvr-112 which had the original firmware, and I have also flashed it with 112L firmware, but with both I can only write on my traxdata / ritek 16x dvd+r at 4x.

Click on the thumbnail for a screen shot from DVD Identifier.

Any ideas please?

#2

You need to be using an 80 wire, Ultra DMA IDE ribbon.

#3

Hi I am using 80 wire, my 111d writes them at 16 speed but this won`t?

#4

Which UDMA mode is the drive running on??

BTW, ritek is crappy media these days.

#5

DMA 4 Ultra 66 it says in hardware properties.

#6

UDMA4 is fine.

You may use dvd.identifier on those media and see what write strategies your drive has for this media.

#7

already have in the first post m8.

Says disc is ok at 16x but writer only 4x

#8

You link to the tool, that is useless info here so no one would be able to help you.

#9

sorry m8 I`m a newbie!!
What info do you need then please?

#10

I would say that you have the wrong FW for the 112L according to your thumbnail you have 112L FW 1.09 which FW 1.09 is for the 112D you need to have FW for the 112L which is 8.09. It looks to me like you flashed it without the FW for the 112L,

#11

Well if he flashed to A12 firmware then 112L with 1.09 is OK.

#12

It started off as a plain 112 1.06, the tdb 1.08 for the 112. Then 8.06, 8.09. Then A12J from the link in koba`s signature.

All gave the same readings as above.

#13

Sorry but he didn’t mention the A12

#14

Just check what dvd.identifier shows you as writespeeds for the discs.

#15

The screenshot is off my pc, showing my drive and disc capabilities. It shows the disc can be written at 16x but that my drive will only write to it at 4x.

#16

Which screenshot?

I cannot see one here in this thread…

#17

if you click the thumbnail in my first post you get a full screen picture. I did it to save bandwith on the forum.

Heres a full screen picture …

#18

My browser does not show a thumbnail within your post.

Anyway, it clearly shows that you can only burn them at max 4x.
Wha about the Traxdata? What MID does they have?

#19

Hi m8 they are the traxdata 16x it says on the tub made by ritek.

this is also from the media code block

Same case, only 4x because of the same mid.

Either try with MCSE or you need to wait for a newer firmware.
