ONLY by buying an AUTHORING burner & special Authoring media!

The info on the screenshot has absolutely nothing to do with “Authoring mode”.
look at the screenshot again, it was burned with Pioneer DVR-111.

And? Again, what should that prove?
It is a fact that only Authoring burners can use Authoring media - that m,eans real Authoring burning for known purpose.
I don’t know what youdid or which softwares youhave used so that info would appear, heck, itcould even be a little bug from something…
I haven’t burn that, It was send to me from Canon Japan to test the new Canon DVD camcorders.

Doing a quick Google search, it* has only appeared after being written on drives using the NEC chipset** with DVD-R/-RW/-R DL media. I’m not quite sure why this is…
*: In CD-DVD Speed, the user has seen Usage: Authoring.
**: Pioneer DVR-111/212 & Optiarc AD-7170A/NEC ND-4550A, for the few that I saw.
I’d say its software dependent then, and if you wanna know, ask Canon…
