My question is: Is pioneer dvr-109 (fw 1.58) capable of reading sub-96?
I have made two ccd images of the same cd: one with a chep and almost new philips 2400L (fw Y5H4) and another with a expensive pioneer dvr-109 (fw 1.58) that has been used for a very long time.
I enabled reading subchannel data and, after comparing (with 'comp') both images I get the following: Although the .img file is the same; both .sub files are different! And both drives report to be sub-96 reading capable.
Which one do you think has the problem? Philips or Pioneer?
