I have a Panasonic Portable DVD Player (L-50 model). I have made many backup movies and they play fine on my Sony home DVD player. However, when I use my portable, it plays OK for about 10-15 minutes. Afterwards, it starts to pause and the video slowly fades out and gets distorted until it's not viewable. I think it may be because the portable gets very hot. I use Ritek DVD-R's. Anyone having similar problems with a portable?
I have the exact same model and have had no problems with any disc I have done. No, 1 only, Terminator 2.
Every thing else plays great.Could be the media.
I am using Datawrite -r x2.
mjthomas,I have the same player also and have no problems playing my backups on it. Your problem may be the player itself. I had a problem with the player overheating or running very hot some time ago. Original DVD's would not play without breaking up and freezing. Eventually the player failed and a circuit card had to be replaced. Later I had to replace the ribbon cable for the scrren but thats another story. The player has preformed flawlessly since the repairs.
