can you help me?, my computer wont read dvd-r discs, but it will read and burn cdr’s, and it will play dvd’s

Got your PM. The most common cause of this is a faulty laser in the drive but to be sure can you tell us a bit more about your system, drive and how it’s connected. Also can it read DVD+R?
