I have been running DVDFabHDDecrypter v. 5105 on Wine 1.0.1 installed on Ubuntu 8.10, with no problem. I ran it as Windows XP. I updated DVDFab to v. 5230, and this new version will open ok; but it freezes on any first click on any command.:o
Has anyone seen this problem, or, more hopefully, run the new version of DVDFab on Wine successfully? Any suggestion would be appreciated!
I should be able to answer this question, even though my O/S is windows.
You are using the freebie version of DVDFab, and almost every command you see from the start up screen has been spiked.
All you should be able to do is load a DVD in your drive, Fab will open it, and then ‘Start’ should work.
You will end up with a copy-protection free version of the film on your HD, and will have to work with it ‘as is’.
The author has done some heavy-weight editing to the freebie from previous versions, and that’s pretty much what’s left.
