Having a problem reading the backup DVD i just burned.
I am using dvdfabplatinum3132 to do the backup.
I read the original dvd, copy to my harddrive and then burn a backup.
dvdfabplatinum3132 works fine and seems to write the backup, but
when i go to use the dvd it is not being read, you can physically see that the dvd was burned. Any dvd player I use does not read the newly created
backuop. Do I have to adjust any settings?

Thank you

Hi cgrega and welcome to cdfreaks,

Does this bkup play on your pc?
If no, are you able to view the files when played back from the hdd?
Please post a burn log.

You are using a Fab version that was released on about 6/10/07 and is no longer developed. Fab has undergone countless updates (well, too many for me to count) and development of 2 complete programs…so we are now at Platinum 5.0.8.8 Beta.

While this doesn’t sound like your problem, you are using an obsolete version and it would be prudent to update to the current version. You will need a v. 5.xxx key which can be obtained for free for all Platinum owners at:
http://www.dvdfab.com/retrieveregkey.htm

Be certain to use your original email addy (the one you used at time of purchase) and be sure to retrieve the v.5 key.

The best adjustment you can ever make is to update to the latest version >> 5.0.8.8

Of course you will have to request for a new key

BTW…welcome to the club

OK for starters you are using a really outdated version of dvdfab platinum. download and install the latest dvdfab Platinum v5.0.8.5. Make sure you are using SAO writing and NOT packet writing. If you are using +r media put a check next to set booktype to dvd rom
