Hadn’t realized we’ve actually started using a new product. It seems that after 9.1.3.8, we were switched to a new version of the software. Why the new installation specifically for the US? How has this version been modified from previous versions—are you having to disable certain things or log any addition information compared to previous versions??

The US version is in response to an injunction provided to AACS-LA (the Blu-ray decryption consortium) by a US federal court. It’s part of a lawsuit they filed earlier this year. There are several news items about it in the archives here and elsewhere. You can read more about the changes to the US version on the DVDFab website, here: Decryption FAQ

Is this true for only new customers or are existing paid customers also effected? Originally we were told

"We will keep rolling out updates to existing customers who own paid versions of DVDFab 9, with identical features and functionalities as before. But please obey local laws and regulations regarding to copyright protections and use DVDFab 9 for your private purpose only. We thank you again for the continued support! Stay with us, and we will not let you down!’

It true for new and old customers who live in the US.

What was previously said is no longer true! Kinda like what DVDFAB always does so nothing new
