I am using a Dell, Inspiron 9400/1705. The optical drive is an "Optiarc DVD+-RW 5560A". The problem I'm having is glitchy DVD playback, momentary video freezes, but sound is otherwise intact and complete. The odd thing about The glitchy playback is.....The DVD player only does this after I use DVDFab5 to clone a DVD. I obtained newest drivers for my ATI Mobility Radion 1400X. Also obtained latest drivers for Cyberlink PowerDVD 8.0 deluxe. Getting latest drivers made no difference. Tried physically removing Op drive and reinstalled. That seemed to fix the prob. I subsequently used DVDFab5 again, and the the problem reappeared. Removed op drv. again and it fixed problem. Repeated this a couple more times to verify using DVDFab5 was culprit. It seems to be DVDFab5 that starts the glitchy playback problem. Anyone have any suggestions?
