For your information:
Movie “New Moon†successfully re encoded to fit a 25 BD blank, took close to 3 hours, cpu fully engaged.
Movie “The Blind Side†because of length of movie to fit a BD25 had to encode, cpu fully engaged, but froze the computer on 2 attempts bot at different times into the process.
The same movie copied to HD movie only choosing BD50 no encoding required, copied successfully to HD in 38 minutes cpu idling. Size of file 27.9 gb
My observations is that when movies are long and will not fit a BD25 blank without encoding seems the process takes close to 3 hours fully engaging the CPU and often results in problems like freezing the OS system, rebooting the computer or crash dump.
Windows 7 will not play Bluray movies, about 3 months ago I purchased 2 software players but they did not work.
I am going to try coping the movie to a USB memory stick that is 32gb in size and try to play it in my set top Panasonic Bray player that has a USB input. The other alternative is to use a laptop computer or even a desktop to play the file using a projector capable of 1080p 24
Will try to post this on the website.
