DVDFab wont recognise Blu-Ray disc

Hi, I have a LG BluRay drive which I installed a couple of months ago. I have now bought my first BluRay disc and wanted to try and convert it something I can play on the PC I am using as a media center.

I am using the latest version of DVDFab HD (just downloaded Trial), but it ignores the BluRay disc. It picks up a normal DVD in the same drive Ok, but not the BluRay disc. In Windows explorer I can see the files on the BD disc.

Any ideas what I should do?

Thankyou in advance!!

The only software that will come close to ripping BD is Anydvd. DVDfab will have to wait til their author finishes the software to be able to do BD media.

It wont help. The free HD decrypter will not do Bluray or BluRay+ decryption yet.

Many thanks, very interesting. So it used to work, and now it doesn’t - and no apparent reason?

Are you telling me that paid for product WILL rip the Blu Ray disc fine?

No it will not at this time.

Ummmm, very strange - the download page specifically says it will do it with the free version??

It’s my (likely incorrect) understanding that it supports some older HD-DVDs and Blu-Ray discs but doesn’t support modern encryption or copy protection like BD+.
