DVDFAB Update

vbimport

#1

I have upgraded to DVDFAB 5.0.0 Platinum. I had no problems with DVDFAB glod 4.0.3. With the up grade to 5.0 I have compression problems
I can’t backup to and single layer disc like i could with 4.0. Is there a way to set compression, if so how? If I con’t burn to single layer discs how can I get a copy of DVDFAB 4.0.3 to reload on my machine

Update to v5.0.4.0. DVDFab determines how much to compress based on the blank media size you have chosen. Clone mode and Split mode are different, see the Tutorial (the Official Guide link in my sig). Post a burn log, it will have lots of information about burn problems.

Thanks for the reply,
I’m trying the split mode. what I don’t under stand is if 4.0 compressed enough for a single layer disc why will 5.0 not compress the same amount to write to the same size disc.
where would i find an burn log to post so you could determine if something is wrong in the process

My Documents/DVDFAB/Log/burn log, or it could be here C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log

burn log for split modeis below. should i do burn log in full disc mode?
so far split mode is writing on 2 discs but i would rather use full disc mode and write to one disc.

Sorry can’t help you on the split mode as I only do Full Disk, Main Movie or Clone

#7

Please update to v5.0.4.0 and try again. The logs you posted did not actually show where anything was written to a blank DVD.

I have backed up full disc at level in mid to high 50’s that played Ok. You can use the Customize to remove ads etc to get higher levels.
