more than doubled in size, what’s up with that?

Also note that this does not update version 2, but instead installs along side of it.

It only opens to full page on first install, and all you have to is uninstall version 2, you will still be registered if you own it.

Doubled in size refers to the footprint in MB on the HDD. Went from around 16MB to 39MB.
Removing version 2 is something the installer should be doing or at least offering. Lazy programming.

All programs go into a different folder at a different number launch. It happens with Snag-it, and almost every major program launch. Its a simple thing to fix, just uninstall the older version when you have tested that the new one works. Phew. And as for the program being bigger in size, maybe they added a new feature, get a little creative Dan.

Still not even remotely impressed. Its the exact same program, just fatter, and with new bugs.

FYI
The DVD and BD playback engines are new. Far smaller installed than PowerDVD15: Fab Player 3: ~115MB, PDVD15: >500MB. Still immune to the audio watermark on DVD and BD.

When you make a statement about bugs, please let us know what they are, if you do not, then don’t complain about them. I have used it since its release and I didnt find one thing wrong. And as for being to large a file, every other player is larger, not one is smaller.

For starters, the frame snapshot function is badly broken.

Nothing wrong with the frame snapshot function on this end. What else is broken?

There is nothing wrong with the resolution of the frame grabs, its exactly the same as the resolution of the source. You said it was and I quote " badly broken" , thats what you call badly broken?
