Try lowering the write/burn speed

also show -->Incompatible Format

Burning these “Disc ID: RITEKF1” at 16 x( even Image burn only show 12x possible) is the reason for the failure. Try slow your burn to 8x max, or better yet use better media.
OT: Seems I have Mainemans turtle fingers tonight…

As far as media and write speed goes. I receive those same errors using Verbatim with a 8x write speed. Also, it does burn to disk, around 60% to 95% done when I get the error. Again VSO works. I just prefer Imgburn and would like to get it running again. Any other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

The sectors where ImgBurn crapped out are near the edge of the disc, often a problem with cheap media. But that doesn’t explain why VSO works and Img doesn’t. Have you tried Img in standalone mode, not from within DVDFab? As others have noted, turn down the burn speed to 8X.

One more thought in addition to the excellent advice so far…

DeviceIoControl(FSCTL_LOCK_VOLUME) Failed! - Reason: Access is denied.
This frequently is indicative of a conflict where “something else” is competing for access to your burner.
You can manually search and keep your fingers X’d.

LUK! recommends using Process Explorer from
www.sysinternals.com

I’ve never used it, but I don’t know anyone’s advice I’d trust more than LUK!.

The bug is that Fab ignores the speed setting for ImgBurn and burns at the max speed. To get around this bug I exit the DVDFab program and burn straight from ImgBurn.

strange I don’t seem to have this issue with DVDFab when using ImgBurn as the burn engine, it always burns at the write speed I have selected for the MID within ImgBurn…no matter what setting is set in DVDFab

No bug for me either.
Using Img within Platinum 5.2.3.0…no problems whatsoever.

Oh yeah…spend few minutes to configure IMG and it’s smooth sailing.
I have 4 burners configured for an assortment of Verb and TY SL media and verb DLs…MKM 001 & MKM 003.
Everything burns at exactly the correct speed.

Yeah that is what Img one if not the best, you set it for each MID and no more changing the burn speed  unless you use a new MID
