Dvdfab freezes up

#1

I’m using DVDfab platinum 4.1.2.0 and it freezes up most of the time after copying to file and before burning. I get alot of failed discs errors. Using Windows Vista.

#2

Aren’t we dealing with this problem here in the Burners forum?

#3

No…this is my other computer using vista, and dvdfab keeps freezing up. I have 2 computers with the same program. Sorry for the confusion.

#4

OK, thanks for clearing that up…can you give some details about what’s happening on the Vista PC?

What media (discs) are you using, and what burner do you have on the Vista PC?

#5

I’m using sony dvd-r 16…same as on the other computer. The burner is atapi dvd w dh16wip ata., which was already in this computer…acer.

Also forgot to say that I can do 2 good burns when I first start using this, but after that is when I have problems. Might not be a software problem but computer might be getting to hot. Thanks for all your help.

#7

Could you post an error log?

Please change first from “Packet Writing” to “SAO writing”. If this fails, please try another sort of media e.g. Verbatim…
