I've been archiving my collection of DVDs to a portable hard drive, for use with my XBox360. I like to rip a handful of discs to ISOs on my PC hard drive, then batch convert them to Xvid+Audiocopy AVI files. This has been working very well for me, but I've run across problems on some discs.
Has anyone else run into issues when using DVDFab Decrypter in ISO Read mode with dual-layer source discs? While I've had several rip just fine, I've had some that start hitting read errors at ~50% through the ripping process (I suspect this coincides with the layer break on the disc). No matter how long I let Decrypter try to read these discs, they never make any progress beyond that point. Any suggestions on how to get through it? (Special settings, etc).
While I'm in question mode, I do have another one. This is a less troubling issue, but here goes. I've run into a few discs that ripped to ISO just fine. But when I converted them to Xvid+Audiocopy AVIs, some weird framerate/judder issues resulted. The two main offenders I can think of so far are "A League of Their Own" and "Beverly Hills Ninja." I always keep framerate set to "same as source." Should I play around with that or other settings?
Thanks in advance!
