DVDFAB - can not play backup dvd on dvd player

Hello *,

I copied my 28 Weeks Later DVD to my Harddisk (with dvd fab hd decrypter). After this I shrinked the DVD with DVDShrink and burn it on a DVD. When I try to play this DVD, my DVD Player responsed that it can not play the disk.

Has anyone an idea what I can do to solve this problem.

Can someone refer me to a safe pop up blocker and anti-virus download.

Hi mkeuschn and welcome to the Fab forum. The first thing I’d check is to make sure that the DVD is finalized or closed. If you have CD-DVDSpeed, an app for checking your disk, then run it through it. It’ll tell you. If you don’t have it, you can find it easy. Just go to www.majorgeeks.com it’s free. Can also use VSO Inspector. It to is free. ~ Mike

@ mkeuschn:
What type media are you using?

@ thinkpink I sent you a PM ok. ~ Mike

The disk is closed. I have used DVD fab HD decrypter formerly succesful. I do not know with which version the backup was succesful.

DVD+R

But formerly I have not this problem.

If your drive that you haven’t mentioned yet, supports it, are they being booktyped to Dvd-Rom? Name of media & MID please?

what program did you use to burn with? dvdshrink does not burn, it will call up either Nero or dvd decrypter. or you can save to file and burn with your program of choice.

did you download nero cd-dvd speed? http://www.cdspeed2000.com/ ??
please load the burned disc, choose the drive and post the info from the disc info screen. click COPY TEXT and paste it into a reply post. what we are looking for is the information ive put in bold. also post the the entire name and any numbers/letters of your drive as reported by cdspeed.

for movies DVD-R discs should be used as not all DVD players can read DVD+R discs.

This is simply untrue.

go ahead and waste money on +R’s then

Before making another untrue statement that you can’t back up, I would strongly suggest looking around this Forum.

Boy, I guess you told me a thing or two…
Apart from making false, arrogant and pretentious statements, you apparently have little to say.

@mkeuschn,

Any luck getting that info that Troy requested?
If you could also click on the Disc Info tab in Nero cd-dvd speed and post your burner and firmware info, it’ll be a big help.

most all my backups are made using dvd+r, the only time ive had any real trouble is with the early ones before i knew about Booktype or Bitsetting. i stress real trouble because there is alot of room for user error when creating your first backups.

i have been ripping DVDs for amost 10 years now, so i have experience in this and i know it to be true.

Hey, That is cool, what burner did you first use and what media?

This request should be made in the Software Forum. Please do a search first, this topic has been discussed numerous times.:iagree:

I guess I must be a quick learner, because I have only been doing this for 2+ years & know exactly what your statement is :Z.
