Dvd Writing Problems

My Dvd/cd Writer Is Playing Up Its A Ricoh Dvd+rw8160 The Dvd Section Will Write Rw Rewriteable Dvd But Wont Write Dvd+r Dvd’s Cd Section Will Read And Write All Using Nero 6 And Have Tried 6 Different Brands Of Dvd All Dvdrw Will Write No Dvd+r Will Write Help Thanks Haydn

A few things. :slight_smile:

Why are you burning at 2.4x?
What media (disc) are you using, and what’s the rated speed?

Deamon Tools might also have something to do with this, but I’ll leave that as a last resort.

Oh, and please remove your Nero serial from the two logs. Thanks :slight_smile:

Edit: Ouch. After some research, I found out that drive only does +R at 2.4x, hence the burn speed.

I’m guessing you’re using slower speed +RWs which might be why they work, but I’m thinking you’ll be lucky to find single layer +R media to work. Hopefully someone else has a hopeful reply for you.
