DVD Write issue

Hi,
I'm trying to solve a dvd writer related issue. I've been burning cd/dvd's without any problem after I purchased a new system. I've been using Nero 7. My dvd writer is Samsung SH-S203P S-ATA. When I try to burn a dvd, I follow all the steps in Nero until the last point, when "burn" button is visible. When I hit "burn", nothing happans, no light or activity in my dvd writer, and Nero goes "unresponding". It also rejects to close. The problem continues even if I decrease the burning speed.

Last month, I installed Alcohol 120% and a few days later, uninstalled it. However, I can't burn anything now. I'm not sure if it is related to Alcohol 120% but I did no other change in the system. After Alcohol 120%, I've met a new virtual drive under "my computer" and I removed it but my problem continued.

I'm using Windows XP SP2 on Intel C2Duo E8400 processor with 4GB RAM.

I would appreciate if someone has an idea on the issue.

A while ago I red about some conflict between Alcohol and other software.
Only think I would do is to download ImgBurn(free) and try that for burning.
If it works, than you can reinstall Nero. You may have a problem with that, because if you do not use Nero Clean Tool, it may not rewrite all files correctly.
