What is more obvious than a new protection???

#4

A new protection for an superold cartoon series distributed from Sweden small company? … wtf man  to me and sevaral others that looked it feels they put more money into making this DVD impossible to copy than money from selling it

And it cant be a “new” protection for a so old dvd right?

#5

If it is a new pressing & maybe remastered digitally. It could have new protection.

AnyDVD should have shown a label , it shouldn’t be region free .
It’s almost like AnyDVD didn’t fully read this DVD.

Do you have a different drive you can try ?

Obviously I can’t test your DVD .
It’s that those are not what AnyDVD HD usually reports .

Myself I have DVDFab so I would try it also.

If it is still available (I don’t have it installed because it conflicts with AnyDVD HD.)
You might try DVDFab passkey light .

Also you might try IsoPuzzle used with AnyDVD HD.
This will get you an .iso file of the whole DVD .
If it works.
That can usually be mounted in Virtual CloneDrive .
Or burned directly with ImgBurn.
One file you need to add to the IsoPuzzle folder is wnaspi32.dll .
The correct version is available here at club.myce for download.
http://upload.cdfreaks.com/Kerry56/wnaspi32.dll

I assume you want to create a backup copy that works better ?

#9

Have you tried the built-in ripper within AnyDVD to make an image file?

What are you trying to do with it anyway? Compress and fit onto a recordable disc? If so, DVDShrink can open an ISO made by AnyDVD.

#10

I saw that “Found & removed 2 potential bad sector protections!” isn’t in the summary of the latest two.
You friends had this additional “ERROR processing disc, AnyDVD turned off!” .

I’m sure you don’t burn with your laptop but you might want to set the region if you ever do. On it AnyDVD HD is “Emulating RPC-2 drive with region 1!” .
Since you are in Region 2 I’m sure that’s not what you want.

#11

I wan’t to be able to play the chapters on this DVD on my Computer… since it works on a normal DVDplayer i assume it has some Sony protection maybe like

But the MacX pro program detected “Disney X-Project” so and tested your tips and none worked.

I got an ISO but my programs crashed didnt even show a menu or bit of the clip with the .iso file.

AnyDVD HD should decrypt the ARccOS .
When you ripped this DVD with IsoPuzzle with AnyDVD HD enabled.
Did it finish & have this at the bottom of the log window:
Exit 0x0: Ok
Delete MOVIETITLE.flg
The Exit 0x0: may be slightly different depending on how your drives are numbered.
For example Exit 1x0: but this should be the ripping drive.
If it deleted the MOVIETITLE.flg then if did a complete rip of the DVD.

Did you then mount the MOVIETITLE.iso in Virtual CloneDrive from slysoft ?
If you open the mounted .iso it should look like openning a DVD disc.
The VIDEO_TS folder should have .bup , .ifo & .vob files in it.
VLC player or MPC HC should be able to play this as a Disc.
Most other players should work but WMP is the worst.
If this plays OK then it will usually burn OK.

You may want to rip a copy from Virtual CloneDrive with CloneDVD2 or
DVDShrink if you want some of the audio tracks removed.
None of this should alter the chapters from the DVD .
So where the original had chapters the copy should.

If the above doesn’t work I’m at a loss for more instructions .
Maybe someone else has some idea.

Yaeh cholla it showed exactly those in the ending of the “rip”.

But it still were the same when i mounted. Played it and it skipped the menu completely like always… and were working just like the original DVD disc

12 minutes works , then there is a minute or two without audio and then the picture freezing in about 17-18min mark. and the player says that the complete clip is 27 minutes but in fact its 48…

And the full movie works great in DVDShrink Preview window but audio is a little bit chunky but the full 48 minutes working with picture and everything in the preview window…

really strange isnt it?=

#14

DVD SHRINK

Preview working and can show the full movie… 48minutes with picture working and full menu working etc. But from there i tried auth one Titel all 9 of them and none of them were working in a separate iso file

Ive been reading that some encryptions had many titles and that only 1 of those many were the real working one so i took all 9 separated but ended with nothing

Maybe FixVTS is worth a try: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/FixVTS
Please try to copy the VIDEO_TS folder to hard disk, then open any VOB file in FixVTS.
Leave all three boxes checked, and click ‘Full DVD’.

It can’t hurt to give FixVTS a try.

You might mount the .iso created with IsoPuzzle since it has been decrypted with AnyDVD HD . Then copy the VIDEO_TS from it to the hard disk. Work with that.

If you want FixVTS to create a backup then uncheck the bottom box.

I looked at the image from DVDShrink you posted.
It is strange that all titles show as #2 in Main Movie.
I looked at one of my TV series DVDs & all the titles have different numbers. Each episode having it’s own.
I don’t have any animated multiple episode to check.
I’ve had some movies show an incorrect timestamp but play the complete video.

Still no change when i open the
VTS_02_2 which is 805,308 KB i see an still image from the movie
VTS_02_1 1,048,574 KB the sound and image is working untill ~16:55 then the audio and image starts to “stutter” and then goes totally off…

The full movie works with audio in DVDshrink as i said and on normal DVDplayers on the TV

Try PGCEdit . It is “donateware” the free version is full function with a nag screen that makes you wait 15 seconds.
You can open the mounted .iso but I recommend using the copy to the hard drive.
If PGCEdit wants to fix something when you open the DVD let it.

At this point what I want to check is are all the titles still #2 or do they have different numbers ?

In the “DVD” pulldown select “Fix useless stuff” . Then Save the DVD.

See if it plays correctly .

If not give FixVTS a try on the “Saved DVD”.

Did and the IsoPuzzle automatically checked a name for the .ISO file called “DELFY”.iso

When i try playing that iso file in example VLC the player just crashes randomly.

I open the ISO with MagicISO and extract the folder VIDEO_TS as an “video image” and then ran it again with FixVTS and same result as always with the menu-skipping and 27minute length video where only 16 first minutes working as it schould and rest is still-image without audio…

Schould i test to extract it as a “general CD/DVD image” instead? or does it must be mounted to work.

What is wrong with this DVD since its working just fine in preview window of DVDshrink? but the audio is a little bit stuttering and slow in dvdshrink preview if it werent i wouldve desktop recorded it with stereomix but right now i cant do that

Are we out of options? :frowning:

Mounted the hard drive copied ISO file which also should be decrypted with ANYDVD HD and isopuzzle

Strange is that now i can see the actual NAME on the mounted iso file of the DVD.

PgcEdit: Open DVD folder

Computer
> DVD RW Drive (D:) (no name? DVD is inside)
> BD-ROM Drive (E:) DELFY DEN STORA KAPPLÖPNINGEN

Checked the mounted (E:) and was welcomed by this message

"WARNING:
The number of VOB IDs stored in the VTS_C_ADT table of VTS 2 (8)
doesn’t match the real number of VOB IDs in the table (1).

(This is a known bug in DVDShrink in reauthor mode)

The table will be fixed with the correct number of VOB IDs (1).
Please save the DVD!

Then i press “OK”

PgcEdit has detected erroneus or missing time map tables
in VTS 2.

The bad time maps will be rebuilt when you save the DVD.

OK

I cant describe this so i provide you with a Screenshot below.
