Even though you already saw the answer, ill repeat, the WD boxes seem to be able to play any format of audio and video I can throw at it. After a lot of research in which box I was going to buy, WD came out on top for me for that reason. Had to play flac and had to play ts_video directories for me. Loved the product so much I have since upgraded from LIVEPLUS to a LIVEHUB for my main TV/Stereo and the moved the LIVEPLUS to another room. They share movies and music back and forth so I can watch/listen to whatever i want in either room. Although I have not tested them all (but many), here are the supported formats for AV
Supported Audio Formats:
MP3, WAV/PCM/LPCM,WMA, AAC, FLAC, MKA, AIF/AIFF, OGG, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS
Supported Video Formats:
AVI (Xvid, AVC, MPEG1/2/4), MPG/MPEG, VOB/ISO, MKV (h.264, x.264, AVC, MPEG1/2/4), TS/TP/M2T (MPEG1/2/4, AVC, VC-1), MP4/MOV (MPEG4, h.264), M2TS, WMV9 (VC-1)
As you can see, don’t have to convert stuff as it plays almost everything native
I take it that your WDLIVEPLUS and WDLIVEHUB can play a movie from an .ISO ?
Edit : too late you already answered .
