DVD to iPod?

I’m looking for a good free program to convert a set of .vob files (ripped off a music DVD) to a format playable by my ipod (.mov?)

I have tried a few but they don’t seem to work and I seem to have acquired some viruses from these to

I used http://www.ipod-video-converter.org/ which is for free. You could also try http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/index.htm I think it does the same job but I’m not quite sure.

Maybe this also: http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=3GP_Converter

(Note: never used it myself, just came across it while browsing.)

You may also want to consider SUPER: http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

I don´t own an iPod (in fact I think if you own one you aren´t allowed to join cdfreaks)
I have used Super to successfully get clips from various sources onto my Sony (ahem…maybe I should be careful what I say) phone.

Thanks guys, does super work on Vista? I tried one of the others and had some problems…

The DVD that I’m trying to convert is a music DVD, a live convert.

I assume that if i convert the DVD, the menus will not work. Therefor I was wondering if there is a program that will convert the DVD files and split them into songs, a file for each song. There is an option like this in DVD decrypter, which splits it by chapter, perhaps this will help me?

EDIT: It would be greatly appreciated if someone could explain a procedure that will split and convert the files.
