DVD studdering?

Anyone else have problems with dvd copies studdering? Occasionally my burnt copies will freeze during playback, and sometimes never regain their footing. I’m guessing it’s due to flaws in the original dvd but I could be wrong.

I usually rip with MactheRipper and burn with toast

What brand of media are you using and what speed are you burning at?

I think it is very much worth it to burn at 8X no matter the media. An 8X burn takes around 8-9 mins. 16X is around 5 mins.

I burn with usually Verbatim or Maxell…hmm, actually I do burn @ 16x, I should try slowin’ it down.

I burn at 8x max when I’m burning movies, no matter how good the media is.
