DVD Shrink won't work!

I tried installing DVD shrink several times. As soon as it finishes installing, before the installer even closes, a window pops up saying DVD shrink has stopped working. I’m sure there could be a million explanations for this, but maybe someone knows whats wrong and could help me.

I don’t think I can go on til I get DVD shrink installed

Maybe some more details are needed

What operative system are you using? Where did you get DVD Shrink? Did you try to download it again? (maybe you are using a faulty download)

Dell Inspiron 1525
Using Windows Vista (32 bit)
Download location was softpedia
Tried several times.

Thanks

Right click on the Shrink.exe file and run in xp sp2 compatibility mode.

Just tried it, same problem.

Sorry, I still use Windows XP, so I have no idea if there are some special steps to be used to make DVD Shrink working in Vista :frowning:

Must be using Vista home premium, try installing it with the UAC turned off.

Still not working!

Are you running as administrator for everyone who uses the computer?

I am the only user and i tried “run as administrator”

are their any other details I can provide that might be useful?

Might look in your DEP list and see if it is allowed.

Now I get to show off my newb-ness. What is a DEP list and where can I check it?
