Dvd rw problems

I don’t know if this is the correct forum, but…

I have a Nec 3500 with mad dog 2.9F firmware. I have burned some iso’s to some Verbatim dvd-RW’s (they are rw). Now I want to overwrite them. But the problem is that both Nero and Alcohol recognizes them as DVD-ROMs, and thus asks me to insert an rw…

Is there any way of rewriting these disks?

have you done erase before overwriting?

Have you tried this: go into Alcohol’s Settings, Go to Emulation, and make sure “Ignore Media Type” is not checked.

It’s not very logical that it’s got to be unchecked
