DVD+/-RW Data not always visible

Can not get my notebook optical drive (‘A’) to read a Rewritable DVD that was written by my desktop optical drive (‘B’), but it will read a Rewritable DVD written on an external optical drive (‘C’)?

HARDWARE:
A. PANASONIC BLU RAY 2X DVD+/-RW OPTICAL DRIVE
B. LG 20X DUAL LAYER DVD±/RW W/ LI PRIMARY CD ROM/DVD ROM
C. MEMOREX DUAL LAYER 16X DVD+R DL/DVD REWRITABLE OPTICAL DRIVE

  1. Create a Rewritable DVD on the desktop.
  2. Insert the DVD into the notebook. The optical drive did not recognize that the disc had any data on it.
  1. Burned a new Rewritable DVD disc and received the same results.
  2. Used a ‘file backup’ Rewritable DVD that was created on an external optical drive. The notebook could read this Rewritable DVD.

Is there something I am missing here?

OS used with drive 1 is ???
Is InCD or similar installed?

How old is this media? What type of media brand is this non-working disk? Welcome to the forum, too!
