DVD-Rom Bitsetting, lite-on vs Benq mystery

When setting the bitsetting of a DVD+R to DVD Rom using a lite-on dvd recorder my dvd-rom drive sees this disc as a DVD-ROM and reads it at an incredible speed starting at 6.67 speed maxing out over 16 speed.

Use a benq 1620 to set the bitsetting of the DVD+R to DVD Rom and my dvd-rom drive only reads it in at normal speed.

My DVD-Rom drive doesn’t see the benq bitset disc the same way as it sees the lite-on bitset disc.

Can anyone explain what the lite-on burner is doing different when setting the bitsetting compared to the Benq?
