I have a set of BBC programs on DVD, which I purchased in Britain (Region Code 2). I would like to make usable copies to play on my American (Region Code 1) DVD player.
I own a copy of DVDFab and it appears to be making a "back up copy" of these DVDs. I place the original British DVD in my internal DVD player of my PC. I can view the program in the small window and DVDFab does not advise me of any problem or error.
When the copying is finished, however, and I take the newly made DVD to my DVD player at my television, I still get the error message regarding Region Code restrictions and it it won't play. It's as if DVDFab was able to bypass the RC restrictions to make a copy (and show a thumbnail of the video in its preview window), but does not strip away the region code on the copy?
Can anyone tell me what's happening and how I can overcome this?
