I bought a copy of GEORGE HARRISON THE DARK HORSE YEARS on DVD.
Anyway what’s happening is I have been using dvdfab gold, and platinum
to back it up.What haappens is I copy it okay,I try it out on the computer
and,it plays okay. Now the problem?. When I try to play it on a regular dvd
player nothing it won’t even read. I have been using memorex dvd-r,and most
of the other dvd back ups come out okay.Is this title encoded with some
special protection or something?/
Thanks ZAP EM.
The symptoms you describe are common and can be caused by many things. Some players like +R better than -R, some the opposite. Some don’t play DVDRs well unless they are “bitset” to DVD-ROM (there is a checkbox for this in Common Settings–>Write). Probably the most common failing though is poor quality blank media burned at too high a speed. If you are using anything but Verbatim or TY, try reducing the burn speed to 4X, and make a test at no faster than 8X with those I mentioned. If none of these suggestions work, you will need to post a burn log of one of the failures (the instructions for this are in the bottom link in my sig). Sorry you’re having trouble.
