I have recorded some programs on to a dvd-ram disk using my Tosh DR-1 set top recorder. Is it possible then to put or copy these files to a dvd-r disc using a dvd-ram drive and a dvd recorder (which i have) in my PC so i can then put the dvd-r disc back into the Tosh DR1 and finalize it with nice menus and then make copies of that disc to share it to be used on other dvd players. When i try and copy the dvd ram disc, nero makes a image of the dvd-ram disc and then finalizes the target dvd-r disc so i can't do any thing with it with the Tosh dr-1 recorder as it is then pre-recorded content.
If i used a dvd-r disc to record my program on to then would not have this problem as when the disc became full i would just finalize it using the Tosh Dr-1 and then it would play in any player or i could make copies of it. The files on the dvd-ram disc are .vro / .dat / .ifo
There must be something i can do or the last resort is to copy it in real time using the AV output on the DR-1 onto another dvd-recorder this time using a dvd-r disc..
