DVD +R -R Price difference?

I finally broke down and bought the BenQ 1625 from newegg with the rebate and instant discount…etc. Anyway, I go looking for blank DVD’s and I find that -R are more expensive than +R. At Best Buy anyway. So my question is WHY? just curious.

I think it’s just a coincidence. I’ve gone to stores (Best Buy( where +R was on average more expensive then -R. The asking price doesn’t necessarily reflect differences in quality between the two formats.

I think your observation was just a reflection of what was on sale that day, what their asking prices were that day, and what how much each manufacturer was charging Best Buy for their discs…

A lot of the time when they run sales, they run + and - for the same price.
