I have heard that DVD+R blank media would be the only ones to use in my burner-HL-DT-ST DVD Ram GH22ns50, and that i shouldn`t use DVD-R in it as that burner is a +R burner. What do you think?

GH22NS50 is a Super Multi burner that can do both +R(W) and -R(W).
While any format has certain small advantages over the other (standalone compatibility, capacity, overburn), it shouldn’t matter much in practice.

I have that same drive, bought recently. As it’s a Renesas chipset drive, and all the Reneses-chipset LGs I own are just a little picky, my advice would be: use quality media!

But yes, it’ll burn both -R and +R. Going by my own experience with the drive since I’ve had it (admittedly not long), you might like to stick with 8x.
