Looking for dvd media dvd+r dual layer full face printable surface sold in USA

I do not have any personal experience with these but the general rule with blank double/dual layer DVDs is only buy Verbatim.

Here’s some:

$1.10 each

But I wouldn’t want to be the guinea pig.

Verbatim is tops for DL media. Unfortunantly I don’t believe they make a full hub inkjet printable DL.

Yeah I was looking at those PlayO discs the other day and wondering what the mid would
be on them. Probably some off the wall MIC crap mid :Z, I have looked on videohelp but no
info on them at least none that I could find anyway. Okay who wants to waste some money
on them and be the guinea pig? :sad::confused:

Thank you…use Meritline always for my DVD purchases never say the Playo discs, I’ll givew them a try and report my findings!!

#6

When you get them, post back the country that they were made in and what the MID code is.

Also keep all original packaging in case you have to send them back.

Good Luck!

just received my Playo discs…burned and no problems! made in Hong Kong (mid code?)…looks good so far. Printed very well using my Epson R220 using Surething just adjusted properties by decreasing to 99% …

#8

Well there you go even worse Hong Kong. I don’t even need a MID. I bet you $100.00 that in 6 mos you can’t even access the 2nd layer.

#9

Nero infotool, dvd decrypter, dvdinfopro, and dvdidentifier are a few programs that will tell you the MID code.

What kind of finish is on them? Glossy or Matte ?

#10

Not talking out the side of my neck I have tried multiple low quality disks & none have even ok playback quality. I don’t remember the MID but there was a memorex branded (I know that doesn’t say much) DL that would playback but still the 2nd layer was inaccessable after a very short period. Supermediastore does have a printable verbatim dL & sometimes I even see verbatim give people problems. I just wish TY would come out with a DL. But any $1.10 spent on some made in hongkong Playo DL is going to be money wasted I guarantee it.

Get Verbatim DL & at least you will be able to watch your backup a year later. I just scanned some of my DL verbies that I burned over 2 years ago with excellent results no changes. I expect many more years out of these backups. this just is not possible with low quality media.

I guess I can see why people check out other possibilities with the ridiculous pricing of verb DL printables

Playo, urgh.
You probably would get a nice printed DVD surface but the disc itself would be a coaster.

finish is matte…my ritek dvd’s are working great even after 2 years after burning them!!
