Been using Ridisc DVD-R GO5 surface, with excellent results, for copying DVD,

Excellent results with very few coasters.

Having trouble lately acquiring them,

What would you consider equivelant or better quality.?

Imput would be appreciated,

Sorry bean55 I’m in UK.

Sorry bean55 I’m in UK.

Not a problem,
I should have asked or at least linked to somewhere other than the U.S.

The general consensus here is Verbatim and TY for more reliability, though you can find other media at times that will do what you need.

Welcome to the forum

I’m also in the UK…I have the Sammy 203N, and it does beautifully with Verbatim 16x discs, so I should think yours would like them too.

If you have a Staples near you, when I was in there recently they had a half-price sale on Verbatim DVD media. For an online option, try www.svp.co.uk

Also Raymann (used to be called Partners have a sale on Verbatims, where I live if you have one near you it might be worth a look as I am not sure if it is just a local sale or a store wide sale.

It’s not as good as a half price sale but as they tend to be in town centres maybe easier to get to than Staples, and you can get a pack of 10 to try while waiting for your delivery from SVP which from my own experience shouldn’t be long.

For the Samsungs i would prefer the -R Verebatims, MCC004 they sometimes gave me not so good results burning 16x, but up to 12x it is good too. In my opinion not the best burner for MCC004 but one of the best for MCC03RG20. The former Samsung weakness -R is now a strength of the 203 Samsungs.
