Version 1 DVD-R? Version 2 DVD-R? When did this happen and what’s the difference? Is it just that one is 1x and the other is 2x?

Version 1 DVD-R = 3.9GB discs Version 2 DVD-R = 4.9GB discs And this does not have nothing to do with the x factor. Greetz :7
