…This DVD contained important information and images for a photo class I’m taking in college, and now the disc is showing up as empty and unreadable, no matter what computer or drive I test it on. Welcome to the Forum.
Sorry but totally unfamiliar with Vista Operating System but unfortunately from your above quoted statement it doesn’t sound very promising in realistically being able to retrieve your lost data.
…Recently, in early February, I burned a data DVD+R on my Dell Inspiron 1525 with the drag & drop Windows Vista DVD burning software, using my TS-L632H…
Perchance are you referring to some type of Packing Writing Software Program?
If so unfortunately ALL Packet Writing Software Programs have proven to be totally unreliable and experienced knowledgeable users never use any type of Packet Writing Software ‘Drag and Drop’ burning software programs because they are notorious for losing data.
Perhaps if you were more definitive and explained in detail exactly what particular “drag & drop Windows Vista DVD burning software†your were actually using a more meaningful ‘corrective’ response could be provided.
Another Software program similar to the ‘ISOBuster’ program that Forum Member mciahel made reference to is ‘ISOPuzzel’ (http://www.geocities.com/marsoupilamis/DocEnglish.htm) which might prove to be useful.
