[QUOTE=drs650;2188092]I have a follow up question. I went ahead and did a DVD-DVD rip, outputting to a folder on my HDD, per Troy’s suggestion. I chose “Main Movie” and the rip completed successfully. However, it split the movie into 5 separate files. Any idea why? Is there a way to set to create one big file?
The five separate files (along with the IFO and BUP files in the VIDEO_TS folder) that you saw are exactly the same format that they exist on the DVD.
It’s nothing you’ll see on screen during playback - will playback as if one large file.
If the concept of five 1GB files still bothers you, you’ll need to do an extra step to convert those files to an ISO file, and the content of that ISO file will be all the smaller files lumped together in one massive one.
Either way, playback will be the same, except to watch on the PC, you’ll need either Daemon Tools, or a player like VLC to watch the film.
