The question is about creating DVDs from my Panasonic Camcorder.
I converted the MOD files to WMV and used Windows Movie maker to produce videos. I was using as I thought a printable disc. The disc has an identification code of L213R0013111. It looks like a printable disc but when I tried to print on it using my Canon printer the printing was very faint and the ink was wet and did not dry. Lets call this one Disc A
Disc B has a good printable surface and my printer works fine with it. It has a code of eLE611213519C01.
Unfortunately I no longer have the packaging for either type of disc.
Is it possible to find out from those serial numbers?
That's the first problem.
The second is more annoying.
Videos on both discs play perfectly with Nero on my Desktop, and Windows Media Centre and Windows Media Player on Vista. Media player doesn't work on the desktop but that's probsbly a driver problem. BUT only Disc A will play properly on my DVD player which is a TEKNIKAD. Disc B keeps stopping and starting and displaying random pixels.
Is it the media, my burner, or windows movie maker. I tried recoding with Nero but it didn't seem to make any difference.
If it's the DVDs can anyone reccommend a better quality make with a printable surface? or has anyone any other suggestions.
This is my first foray into DVD production although I have successfully produced audio and data CDs with navigable websites including videos
which play on CD players and autorun on the computer.
