DVD players for laptops

I have been given a laptop for work and I was told I could watch dvds on it but there is no player on I have been given the power dvd to set it up but it asks for a code, I have looked at the read me files and it is not there,so unless I get it I need to download a player for free, I have looked on google and one called Cliprex comes up is this OK or does anyone know of a better one

naturally the registration code will not be in the readme you usally get that by email after registering and of course paying

use one of these progs
windvd (not free,14 day trial) http://a1394.g.akamai.net/7/1394/3235/v001/webdownload2.intervideo.com/windvd7/release2/Enu/WinDVD7.exe

vlc (free) ftp://zebulon.fr/vlc-0.8.2-win32.exe
you might also need this codec http://inmatrix.osnn.net/ac3filter_1_01a_rc5.exe
windvd is much better

One freeware program you may want to try is Media Player Classic located Here. Works just like WMP6.4 except that it has a lot more features.

P.S. After you click the link you will see two choices. The first zip is for WinXP & 2000 the second for Win98 & ME.

Thanks I have sorted it - had a word with my technition and it was on the utilities disc so all working OK now
