DVD: NTSC to PAL?

What is the quickest and easiest way to convert an NTSC DVD film to PAL?

Thanks…

Use a hardware ‘standards convertor’.

They cost between £50 ~ £650 ($80 ~ $1,000).

Here’s one supplier; there’re many others. http://www.keene.co.uk/system/keene.htm

Wow… definitely don’t spend $1000 to do this (unless you happen to work for a Hollywood studio or something…) LOL

You can accomplish the same thing by using TMPGEnc. It’s available in my download section at VCDHelp.us.

Can a region 2 dvd in pal format be converted to NTCS format and used on a region free dvd player? or can the region be changed or removed when it is ripped and burned ? Thanks

this ain’t a problem for any ripping software.

Thanks . What about changing the format to NTSC ?

Picked from some site :

the only major differences between pal and ntsc are resolution and frame rate. If you are using dvdtoavi or dvdx anywhere in your process you can change the resolution and frame rate to an acceptable 720X480 and 23.97 respectively. you may be missing a little on the top and bottom though.

or

Use Canopus Dv convertor

hmm… maybe this will work even better.

Thanks alot I will give this a try .
