DVD Media without manufacturer ID

I have a NEC 3540A (Firmware 1W4) and it burns well with TDK or branded media. But I also got some cheap media to fool around with. Now the problem with the cheap media in nero gives the error illegal disc. So my bet is that this is due to the missing manufacturer ID. Is there a workaround to handle this kind of situation.Any advice or suggestion is very much appreciated.

This is the Media Block Code I got from dvd identifier:

Unique Disc Identifier : [DVD-R:NO_ID_PRESENT]

Disc & Book Type : [DVD-R] - [DVD-R]
Manufacturer Name : [Manufacturer Not Found In Database]
Manufacturer ID : [Not Present On Disc]
Blank Disc Capacity : [2,298,496 Sectors = 4.71 GB (4.38 GiB)]
